LEMOORE – Tristan Escalante Baez tallied his first goal of the season to help lead the Lemoore College men's soccer team to a 1-1 tie with visiting College of the Sequoias on Tuesday.
The Central Valley Conference draw moved the Golden Eagles to 2-8-3 overall and 0-1-1 in conference play.
COS got on the scoreboard first with a goal in the 27th minute to take the lead. Escalante Baez followed with the equalizer moments later in the 35th minute. Solid defensive play would keep both teams from finding the back of the net for the remainder of the contest.
Golden Eagles' goalkeeper Carlos Perez kept his squad in the game by posting 6 saves.
Lemoore returns to the pitch on Friday (Oct. 10) when it hosts Taft College in a 4 p.m. conference game.
