Sade Booker-Honeycutt scored a team-high 19 points to lead West Hills College Lemoore in a 79-73 loss at Bakersfield College on Friday night. The Golden Eagles suffered just their second loss of the season and fell to 7-2 overall.

West Hills led 11-10 after the first quarter but a 7-0 run by Bakersfield in the second quarter would prove to be the difference in the game. The Golden Eagles trailed 34-26 at halftime were down 52-38 entering the final period.

But a furious fourth quarter got West Hills back in the game. The Golden Eagles put together an 8-2 run with three minutes to play but could get no closer than six points point of the Renegades.

West Hills sank 8 three-pointers, including three by Jada Heights on her way to 13 points. Audrey Gonzalez Alvarez nearly had a double-double as she posted 16 points and 9 rebounds. Symya Murray chipped in with 11 points and Inani Madden contributed 8 rebounds to go with 5 points.

West Hills returns to action on Wednesday (Dec. 14) when it will host Modesto Junior College in a 5 p.m. non-conference game at Golden Eagle Arena.
