Basketball standouts Wilson, Burnett set to transfer to Florida universities
West Hills College Lemoore men's basketball standouts Camron Wilson and Milton Burnett have signed letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year universities in the state of Florida.
The two Golden Eagles teammates will soon be rivals as Wilson is taking his talents to Florida Memorial University in Miami while Burnett is headed to Keiser University in West Palm Beach. Both programs compete in the Sun Conference at the NAIA level.
Wilson, a sophomore out of Fresno (Central HS), was the Central Valley Conference's leading scorer at 21.3 points per game this past season (2021-22). Wilson was one of just two players in the conference to average a double-double as he also led the CVC with 11.9 rebounds per game and was named first-team All-Central Valley Conference.
Wilson put up double figures in scoring in 24 of 25 games played and totaled a season-best 32 points in a win over Hartnell on Nov. 27.
Burnett, also out of Fresno (Bullard HS), put together an impressive sophomore season for WHCL by averaging 17.9 points, 4.4 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game. On Dec. 9, he scored a season-high 36 points in a win over Cuesta College.
The duo helped lead West Hills Lemoore to a 12-13 overall record. The Golden Eagles finished tied for fifth place in the CVC standings at 6-8 under first-year head coach Jovan Joe.
