First win of the season for Lemoore. 2-1 over Lassen in the Lake Tahoe Tournament

It was great weather compared to the 100+ degrees West Hills escaped from in Lemoore as they traveled to Lake Tahoe to take on Lake Tahoe CC and Lassen CC in consecutive days. Lake Tahoe benifited from a Lemoore own goal in the 23rd minute when Lemoore sent a header back to their unexpecting keeper. At the half that was all that seperated the two teams with Tahoe controling most of the half. The second half each team found the back of the net in a spirited battle that was hulted by the final whistle. Tahoe would move to 1-0-1 having tied Folsom Lake College the day earlier and Lemoore started their season 0-1-0.

Just 14 hours later West Hills would take on an experienced crew from Lassen college who tied with Clovis CC two days before each team scoring 3 to tie. Lassen's high octane offense flew around the field sending in dangerous crosses but Lemoore was able to defend and have chances of their own in a great back an forth match. 0-0 at the half however with both teams missing chances. Santiago Barragan was able to break the tie after a free kick (taken by Adrian Lopez) went off the defenders hands and landed at his feet. in the 47th minute. With 26 minutes left in the match Stacy Gomez would find the net from just outside the 18 yard box sending the West Hills bench into a frenzy. In the 87th minute West Hills is called for tripping in the box and Lassen looked to get one back only to be denied by the right post with a finger tip save by Carlos Torres and out for a corner. However, on that corner Lassen forward, Darius Passely, found the loose ball in the center of the box and made Lemoore pay.

In the 5th minute of stoppage Lemoore was able to clear the ball and was able to celebrate for the first time this season with a win, 2-1.

Lemoore moves to 1-1-0 and Lassen 0-1-1.
