LEMOORE – Yuliza Padilla totaled 15 points and 5 rebounds to help lead the Lemoore College women's basketball team to a 51-43 non-conference win over visiting El Camino College on Saturday at Golden Eagle Arena.
With the win, the Golden Eagles improved to 3-5 overall this season and snapped a two-game losing slide.
Lemoore got off to a strong start and took a 32-17 lead into halftime. The Warriors got back into the game with a 15-point, third-quarter but the Golden Eagles were able to hang on for the victory.
Chantel Rodriguez scored 10 points and grabbed a team-high 7 rebounds. Briannah Lorta chipped in with 8 points and 6 boards while Shelby Marquez contributed 8 points and 4 rebounds.
The Golden Eagles will look to keep the momentum going on Friday (Dec. 13) when they travel to Las Positas College in Livermore for a 3 p.m. non-conference game.
