Golden Eagles finish ninth at home tournament

LEMOORE – Led by a first-place finish by Jimmy Reyes, Lemoore College totaled 75 points to finish in ninth place out of 21 teams at the 2024 Lemoore Invitational.

The tourney, held at Golden Eagle Arena, is recognized as one of the largest in the state. Later this season, Lemoore and Golden Eagle Arena will once against host the 3C2A State Championships.

In the 125-pound final, Reyes defeated Rylan Madrid of Mt. San Antonio College by a narrow score of 3-1 to take first place. Also for the Golden Eagles, Philip Arroyo took sixth place at 157 pounds.

Up next for the Golden Eagles is the Modesto College Tournament on Oct. 5.
