Golden Eagles open season ranked No. 17 in CCCMBCA North Preseason Poll

The 2022-23 West Hills College Lemoore men's basketball season gets underway on Wednesday (Nov. 2) when the Golden Eagles travel to Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo for both teams' season opener at 5 p.m.

West Hills Lemoore is expected to make some noise this season. The Golden Eagles were recently ranked No. 17 in the California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association (CCCMBCA) North Preseason Poll.

Jovan Joe returns for his second season as head coach of the Golden Eagles. He'll look to improve on West Hills' 12-13 overall record and 6-8 mark in Central Valley Conference play from 2021-22.

Despite transferring out first-team All-CVC selections Camron Wilson and Mack Tarver Jr., the Golden Eagles impressed enough opposing coaches at preseason scrimmages to merit the regional ranking.

Following tonight, West Hills will host Los Angeles Harbor College in its home opener on Saturday (Nov. 5) at Golden Eagle Arena. Opening tip is set for 3 p.m. West Hills is schedule to play 13 games at home this season.

The Golden Eagles will compete in tournaments at Cuyamaca, Porterville, and Modesto before opening conference action on Jan. 4 at preseason No. 13 Porterville College. Their home conference opener is scheduled for Jan. 11 against College of the Sequoias at 7 p.m.
