The 2022-23 West Hills College Lemoore men's basketball team is making history. For the first time since the program's inception in 2018, the Golden Eagles are headed to the Northern California Regional Playoffs.

On Sunday, West Hills Lemoore was named the No. 22 seed for the upcoming regional playoffs and will travel to No. 11 Cosumnes River College for a Round 1 game on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.

Ticket prices for the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) postseason game at Cosumnes River in Sacramento are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old.

Under the direction of interim head coach Jovan Joe, the Golden Eagles compiled a 13-15 overall record and finished tied for fifth place in the always-tough Central Valley Conference.

West Hills will face a huge challenge in Big 8 Conference champion Cosumnes River. The Hawks went 13-3 in Big 8 play and enter the postseason with a 19-9 overall mark. The two squads are meeting for the first time this season.

The winner of Wednesday's game will travel to face No. 6-seed College of Redwoods (25-3) in a second-round contest on Saturday (Feb. 25) in Eureka. Three wins are needed by the Golden Eagles to advance to the CCCAA Basketball State Championships on March 9-12 that will be played for the second straight season at Golden Eagle Arena.
