LEMOORE – A historic start to the 2023 season continues for the West Hills College Lemoore men's basketball team. On Friday, No. 20 state-ranked WHCL cruised to a 71-48 win over visiting Hartnell College at Golden Eagle Arena.

The Golden Eagles bounced back from their first loss of the season last week at the Cuyamaca College Tournament and improved to 5-1 overall.

West Hills took a commanding 34-15 lead into halftime against Hartnell and never looked back. Marques Greene had a huge game, posting a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Kesean Bazile added 18 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals while Ryan Chavez contributed 18 points and 3 rebounds.

The Golden Eagles will take a break during the Thanksgiving holiday and return to action on Nov. 30 when they travel to Ohlone College in Fremont for a 7 p.m. non-conference game.
