Thanks to four individual titles, West Hills College Lemoore totaled 83.5 points to win the Southeast Conference wrestling team championship on Saturday at Golden Eagle Arena in Lemoore.

Bakersfield was second with 78.5 points, followed by Cuesta (56.5), Moorpark (51.5), East Los Angeles (44), and Victor Valley (31).

West Hills' Marcio Botelho was named the Southeast Conference Coach of the Year while Fernando Camargo was named Assistant Coach of the Year.

On the mat, the Golden Eagles were led by conference championships from Wayne Joint at 144 pounds, Lupe Ayon at 149, Angel Solis at 197, and Taven Avila at heavyweight.

Armando Martinez (133) and Justin Tripp (184) earned runner-up finishes while Will Torres was fourth at 141.

The Golden Eagles return to action next Saturday (Nov. 20) when they will compete at the East Los Angeles College Brawl tournament.
