Eagle Wrestlers place in State Finals

Year in and year out, the Golden Eagles' wrestling team produces great results. The year 2019 was no different. The Eagles had 3 members place during this past weekend's CCCAA State Championship Tournament. The West Hills Golden Eagles Wrestling team were represented well by Jeronimo Cordoza, Patrick Slatic, and Jude Miranda. 

 

Jeronimo Cardoza (pictured above in the 4th place) is a redshirt sophomore. He is a graduate of Hanford High School. He becomes a wrestling All-American for the State of California by placing 4th at the 164 pound weight class. He plans to continue his wrestling career when he graduates from West Hills. 

Patrick Slatic is in his sophomore year here at West Hills. He is a returning Academic All-American. This year he became a state placer finishing with a 6th place finish in the 197 pound weight division at this year's tournament. Patrick is a graduate of Bullard High School and plans to pursue a career in the medical field after grauduating from West Hills. 

Jude Miranda (pictured above in the 8th place) is a freshman from Handford High School. He placed 8th place in the 133 pound weight division. Jude plans to continue his studies at West Hills next season and looks to improve on what was a succesful freshman season already.
